War of the Worlds...

Postby -Adam- » Mon Sep 24, 2007 5:11 pm

So, less than a week to go...

Who's gonna win the Rainbow jersey?

Will, Millar TT away, will Cav suprise the elder statesmen and claim victory no. 11? (we'd never hear the last of it if he did!)

Can Bettini retain?

Does anyone actually care!?

Soooo many questions...

Fair enough, still reckon i woulda won had it not been for the 'false finish' in my first run!

Oh well, another missed opportunity, sums up my season!

You see you say clean, but i definately reckon the beer and rum the night before helped

With all my turbo training at the moment I could have actually ridden this race with my neck brace on 8)

So no one cares at all then?

I think thats a bit of a sorry reflection on the state of our sport. But hey.

Ian Stannard managed a respectable mid-field finish in the U23 TT this morning, while Emma Pooley took 9th in the Womens TT.

Bring on the Wiggins v Millar v the rest tomorow...

If lower means harder to pedal, you were at an advantage then as ours were way too "spinny".

Well Bettini did it again. After all the furore surrounding his inclusion he did have something to prove.

Was very impressed with Evans, being the Evans fan that I am. Not sure why he left it so long to attack but then again you never know how they feel at the end. Schumacher's face in the sprint was a picture!!!

Yet again I have found myself really enjoying a Worlds road race. Don't know why, maybe it's the different jerseys :?

Mmmm was wondering that myself, but you know, while I am typing this I am listening to my middle boy Ciaran, who is 7, reading the three billy goats gruff and I have realised, in the grand scheme of things, it's not really that important to me.

I thought Andy Schleck had a very promising ride and did well to push Bettini all the way.

I really wanted Schleck to win, but against Bettini there was no contest. Disappointed to see Bettini win, what with the controversy and all. And did you see Schlecks anger as he thumped the bars? I think he knew he had more to give, probably could have broken away earlier. Him and Evans in a two up would have been good.

I thought the race was fantastic, good to see people really get a kicking. Worlds races are super long, and rightly so I guess, a war of attrition they truly are.

By the way, your all neglecting our very own Jonny Bellis who took a strong Bronze in the under-23's yesterday, come on, give him some credit!
