Caught this quite by accident (ah, so that's what this thread has been about!) and really enjoyed it (notwithstanding the endless 'creative' montages and interviews the BBC feel obliged to saturate their coverage of everything with). Didn't want Bettini to win, of course, but it was an exciting race. Pretty brutal stuff over a hideously long course.
Was pleased to see Michael Boogerd giving a good account of himself - although he was never going to be in the final mix.
