Paul, probably due to the extreme power im capable of putting down a small crack had appeared by a spoke hole. So i now have a completely new, 2008 (and lighter) wheel.

Heard of this issue many times on Zipps via the weight weenies forum.
The front one is the same, but the rear is a completely new 2008 model 404. Which weighs a few grams less than the old one, not bad ay. Think im going to break them both again about a month before the warranty runs out

Impossible not to. How could they justify not replacing a £1,000 wheelset if it cracks within a few hundred miles. Can't be often your tyre has a longer life expectancy than the wheel .
