Where have all the hundred gone?

I was just thinking... there weren't that many people out on saturday...

Where was everyone, most of the regulars were there, but there were still many a noticable abscense.

(Don't worry Sean, ill let you off this one  )

rugby, lost to your old school 10-0, our kicker sliced every single one of our penalties, mind you Glyn's kicker was terrible.

Getting ready for 12h, 130-mile solo mtb race in the evening.

Have missed clubrun last few weeks (months?) but am looking forward to the next which should be a walk in the park after that (even at 24.1mph? ) .

I thought you were going to start TT-ing when I saw this title Adam.

Well done Sylv, nearly 11mph average off road for 12 hours is staggering. The last minute carb loading clearly worked.

Andrew - yes I was Ok energy-wise. Made the same cake I'd fed almost exclusively on during my previous attempt a few years ago. The ingredient list is scary:

butter
golden syrup
crushed digestives
cocoa
nuts
raisins
milk

Couldn't finish it!

where is everyone

Postby Paul on the Pearson » Mon Oct 08, 2007 3:24 pm

Missed the CR as in a moment of madness I thought I'd give the Kingston Wheelers open hill club up Leith Hill a go. To slightly miss quote Thomas Hobbes it was "nasty, brutish and short", although at 1570 yards from bottom to top not that short! A great event, plenty of cakes at the end, they'ed even splashed out on some jaffa cakes! Definately one for next year.

[quote="Paul on the Pearson"]1570 yards

Why oh why must the TT world insist on using such a dated method of measuring climbs, i mean get with the times please!

Andrew, fear not, at some point next year, the GIANT is to mutate into a TT weapon when i will have a crack at upsetting the established order
