Attention local riders - CW cover shoot 2mrw

Postby huw williams » Tue Oct 09, 2007 3:54 pm

Anyone want to be on the cover of Cycling Weekly next week?

Covershoot is tomorrow at 1pm, Top car park at Farthing Down

Requirements:
No overweight beardy old-gits allowed I'm afraid, which rules half of us out :-(

Smart, plain kit and nice clean bikes (no panniers/mudguards)

Ideally we'd like 2-3 riders if possible - only take an hour, riding along the top (slowly) behind a car with photographer leaning out of the back snapping

George - you out of that neck brace yet? Adam? Stu? Kev? Kieran? Rob?

Post here if you can do it and I'll hook you up with a photographer

Cheers

H

Huw,

I'd definately be up for this.

Dying for an excuse to get off work and after todays soaking i feel a bit of the old flu coming on, cough, cough, ahem.

I'll Pm my mobile number.

Hmmm shame - that's probably not a very positive image to put on the cover - a rider in a neck brace :-)

Huw,

Is the cover shoot an Addiscombe CC themed shot or is any clothing acceptable. Just that if it's like today I've got a very nice blue campagnolo jersey i could wear to keep me warm ( as well as thermal layer and rain cape of course)?

No ACC kit I'm afraid - smart plain kit like Assos, Campag etc is fine

Good weather forecast - they won't shoot if its raining don't worry

Doug

feel free to turn up - I'll post here later if it goes ahead or is cancelled due to bad light

computerised photo-re-touching techniques mean that we can get away with most sizes of rider on the cover, though even my 80gig hard drive would have trouble condensing Ian Munnery down to A4 size :-)

OK Huw - tidy! Farthing Downs seems to only have one car park - atop the hill - that's where I'll go assuming this gets the lanterne verte!

Would love to be there but have just have read the post could get there for approx 1.15 if thats not too late. I'll pm you my mob Hugh. I was planning to leave work early today anyway but I can leave a bit earlier if I get my one of my childhood dreams of being in cycling weekly. (Although always hoped it would be for winning races, then signing my first pro contract, Winning my first one day classic etc). Where have all the years gone! just realised its too late! I'll never be a pro now! Must get to photo shoot.
