Thanks everyone.

Ian had his operation yesterday, which was a bit more complicated than the Dr first thought, taking just over 4 hours and although heavily sedated, was awake throughout, even when they passed the piece of wire THROUGH his heart, inserted ito a vein in his leg - gruesome!! and then released less than 24 hours later.

We are now back home, he has to take things easy for the next 2 weeks, but is pretty cheerful now it is all over.

This is fantastic news Paul, I'm sure he'll soon be back on track now he gets some molly-coddling and Mum's home cooking.

Awake throughout  brave man. I hope he didn't have to watch.

Nice one, my mum sends her best wishes too. She was wondering where you were.

Hope he doesn't get too bored sitting around at home doing nothing. Have to say that was the worst thing for me, and just ask George!

Thanks for everyone's best wishes through what has been a rather emotional and not to say stressful time.

Ian has had his op and is recuperating at home. He seems fine at the moment. Dr's reckon on 95% success rate with no recurrence, so here's hoping.

Don't forget the rescheduled Committee meeting is on Monday 15th October at the usual venue (green room by side of clubroom) starting at 8:00pm.

Would all committee members attend and secretaries send me their reports.

See you there.

Ian has had his operation, been checked over, been given the all clear, and will be returning to Cambridge (Uni) today.

Thanks for all your thoughts and good wishes.
