Good event on Saturday. On time, plenty of cake at the HQ, a reasonable prize list and a respectable number of competitors for a brand-new event. Aodan was out doing some secret reconnaisance of Hill Climb Events and good to see another ACCer take the plunge and try a new form of racing for them. I didn't manage to talk to Paul afterwards - but I hope he enjoyed it.

I though my time was OK - although I was quite a long way short of the winners. All my timed training run (no matter which hill it is!) show that I am missing around 3-4secs per minute compared with my usual pace. As I've got a nice new bike too - the fitness is possible a little further off again. The comeback is just going to take a little longer to come to fruition....

Well done Tony, that's a great result your well up there mate, you were well in-front of the group of guy's just behind on the leader-board.

That's a very steep climb much worse that box hill, what gear did you go up in?

and what's your cadence?

How puffed out were you afterwards, how long to catch your breath?

Great result Tony, good to see the ACC hill climb king back up at the top end of the board.

Pete Tadros is an amazing athlete, I still remember him flying past on the SCCU Sporting TTs like he was on a motorbike. Be interesting to see how many hill climbs he does as he's a skinny bugger so must have huge power to weight.
