ACC Celebration Beer Circus 17/10/07

Seems like there's a lot of people in the club with a lot to shout about as we approach the end of the season so here's a chance to do it.

Loads of success on the competitive side; Road, TT, Sportives etc

More riders out than ever before peaking with our 100+ club run

Some members having been in the club for 20 years

Return to action of many riders floored in bizarre crashes

Unprecedented publicity for the club in various publications culminating in this weeks' CW feature and next week's cover plus the winter H&F guide

Nothing fancy - just an old fashioned chance to get out of order in the company of some of Europe's finest beers. Free copies of CW with THAT picture, plus the winter training guide for all who can make it (as long as you post here so I know who's coming for numbers)

suggest a starting time of 8.00pm?

Planning on being there.
Whats the situation regarding bikes, or is public transport a better idea.?
Don't like the idea of buses these days, and want to keep my driving licence.

Buses - stop right opposite

Cars - you'll lose your licence

Bikes - you'll lose your balance after only a moderate amount of beer in the circus and crash horribly

I shall be there, should I were THE cap?

John, getting there's a doddle it's the getting home that's more of a problem.

Don't cycle. Ask Adrian and he will be able to confirm that Beer Circus and riding home don't agree. :)

Bus or cab home is easiest - the cost of a cab becomes more reasonable the longer you spend at the Circus.

The cost of a cab becomes immaterial the longer you spend in Beer Circus :-)

Why do you assume you'll be able to remember your address? :-)

Have you never heard of this?

Yee haw - can't wait. I shall be arriving by bus and shanks' pony. I expect that by the time I leave I'll believe I'm getting home on a solid gold sleigh pulled along by giant magic bees. At least I bl**dy hope so.

And (how could I have forgotten) several babies born to club members in the last 12 months need their heads wetting :-)

This could be your last chance to enjoy the Circus in its current glory as Graham the owner is expecting to finalise the sale by the end of October.

Reference to the photo Ian and can't think of one (other than to do with the, ahem cap that doesn't have a peak, and thought that might by going too far) for what I slipped my head in to that day, nearly everybody else had their shiny helmet on display though.

Better?
