Got a bike to sell?

Postby adrian » Fri Oct 12, 2007 2:40 pm

Pained request from a friend of mine this morning:

[quote]Bloody bikes. My bike’s crocked. The wheels have disintegrated and for the cost of new wheels and the labour I could get a new bike.

Know anybody who has a bike to sell? Anything from a commuter workhorse to a cheap winter trainer/second bike would do it.

Anyone got anything reliable they want to shift?

(John the old 'un, I've sent him a copy of your earlier post)

I've got a pair of old-but-solid wheels I could sell him for cheap.

They are old (so 126mm OLN rear hub, 7 speed Shimano) 105 hubs, DB stainless Steel spokes in Mavic rims (Module 3 rear, MA4 front)

Open to offers.

I've got (at the last count) spare rims, brakes, pedals, saddle, seat-post, chainset and bar tape. He only needs a frame, some hubs and some bars and he's sorted.

[quote]Adrian, it is not for Twinnie is it? :P

No, Twinnie just uses mine

It's for someone who commutes to Acton from Tooting every day and who would probably need something more or less ready to wear. But I'll pass on all offers of wheels and bits and he can make his own mind up.

I'd say frame size 54-58cm would be about right.
