[quote]Mrs I is coming too, so two places at table please. We might have to talk about something other than cycling .

Too flippin' right! Having spent a week suffering dinner in the company of nearly only blokes - especially the last few days when the only other female in the place wisely stayed in the kitchen to eat her meals and I had to put up with not just my party but 4 other blokes all talking sprockety  Even if I did have something to add to the conversation, I couldn't get a word in edgeways :?

What has that to do with 8 blokes talking sprockety - Grenoble was before it got really bad?!

Anyway what else was there to do while waiting for Paul buy a camera battery? I might not have bought anything but Grant encouraged me to buy the shoes (OK I didn't need too much encouragement :D )

Hopefully next time I'll have some company for a real shopping trip and some more money 8)

Mmmm I suppose if you think it might be p***ing down with rain on Saturday you could decide to give the ride a miss, take a later ferry and just go for the meal and company.

I have booked ferry for me and Mrs T.

We will be taking Portsmouth-Fishbourne route on the 8:00am and driving to Yarmouth (well I might ride over if it's a nice day)

Anyone who wants to bring any bags clothes etc can leave them in my car (assuming there is enough room!!), and Mrs T will meet us for lunch, and then back at Yarmouth. :D

We are staying over at Jireh House and not returning till Sunday afternoon, so don't forget to reclaim anything.

Ok, so if there are no other takers I'm gonna close the book on this one and arrange dinner for the following people at the Bugle inn on saturday evening

John Cochrane
Mr PVT
Mrs T
Andrew G
Chris K
Adrian
Brian Nolan
John Avery
Paul Dewis
Mike Ingram
Mrs Ingram
Mark Bayliss
Huw
Amy

Please advise if I've missed anyone off cos the proprieter is already having kittens about how he's going to cope with (gasp) 14 people, so I expect an evenning of Fawltyesque proportions

PS last one back from the ride buys dinner :-)

Actually, Huw, could you add Mrs A to the list? She'll come if we can find a viable way of getting us both over there. I don't mind ringing Herr Buglemeister myself - just let me know.

OK, Mrs A is in - I'll arrange it - there was a story in the paper at the weekend about a woman who swam over for the Bestival music festival this summer so perhaps Mrs A could try that and you could meet her on Yarmouth beach with a towel

It's only 3.5 miles (as long as the tide isn't strong enough to drag you off course)

Steer clear of the kippers for breakfast then. "I'll have sausages, just sausages".

I trust there will be some handicap system. Otherwise it could be an expensive trip for me.
