chaingang....

im going to start doing as chaingang again. i was going to go and do the elmers end chaingang, but thought before i do that, do a few people from addiscombe want to start one up again like last year? i think its better to do it around familiar faces, who will wait for you if you get a mechanical. they dont on the elmers end one, and thats one of the things that puts me off, as i dont know how to get back home on their route!

Stu,
I wil be taking it easy now until January and will go with a chaingang then.

I wouldn't worry about getting dropped from the Elmers End one on your performance today

I won't do one before the New Year at least either. I'd have liked to attempt an Elmers End few this year, getting dropped not a problem an inevitability but I know where I am :) . The problem I have is getting to them either in time if I go home first, of getting their an hour early if on the way home from work. :?

Tried to get to the Bletchingley one Marek tried to get going but just couldn't make it in time.

not getting dropped paul

i did it a few times last jan- feb- march but noticed no one waits if someone punctures. and so i was always a bit iffy about going without another acc there, incase i got a mechanical and they all left me

carl- brilliant, could you post something when you are going, and i will see you there

paul again- [quote]I'll sort out a detailed route for you guys tomorrow.

Sorry Stu, I did enjoy the ones we did last year, but I have started off a new one in East Grinstead which is closer to home and easier with work etc.

Cheers

keith- if your talking about the elmers end one, it meets by the elmers end round about, just past croydon. its very good training, especially when theres a few elites and 1st cats out. but you would have no trouble keeping up.

its thursdays, 7.15 elmers end round about-
http://www.multimap.com/maps/?hloc=GB|e ... 4:-0.05:14 elmers%20end|Elmers%20End

its not where the little red circle is, (i couldnt get rid of it). its the roundabout where croydon road and upper elmers end road meet. with the toilets in the middle of the roundabout.

paul -do you have the map details yet for the route they take?

Chaps...

Do we not have enough riders for our own chaingang. It will be much more fun and would probably encourage more ACC riders to come out and ride.

Every time I go to the elmers end one I have to put my miserable face on first....

I will be up for it after xmas....

Ta,
