Club Run 13th October.

Postby John Czernobay » Sun Oct 14, 2007 11:04 pm

Another good run out with the Super 15's. It was great to have Phillippe and Brendan with us this week, your always welcome :) . Which reminds me boys and girls, if what ever reason your not feeling too good, recovering from the flu etc, had a heavy week or you just haven't been out on the CR for a while don't miss out  just pitch up on Saturday and join in with the Super 15's 8).........we are a cool group of riders.

The routes can change and so does the speed; also when you get to Charlewood and your feeling that much stronger your more then welcome to return home with a differant group :) .

Best wishes and have a great week. :D
JohnCz..
PS. Many thanks to John Lovell for starting out with us and I hope you did well at the TT.

I don't know why I should be surprised but the 18 group on saturday was a revelation

It's been a long time since I rode with this lot but I'm definitely going back. OK there were more Vice Captains in there than a metropolitan police raid on Soho, so you'd expect a fair bit of discipline, but this was amazing.

Just goes to show what you can achieve if everyone plays their part - proper rotation by all riders at the front and no attacks out of corners/ on hills - just a steady ride all the way at a consistent pace - and despite being labelled as an 18 group it averaged 19.9 to the caf. There were a couple of guys in there who wouldn't have dreamed of riding in a 20mph group at the start, but they sat in quite comfortably. All down to good group behavior.

It's this kind of thing that's responsible for the general improvement in riding standards throughout the club. Well done to Grahame, Ian and Alex for their efforts - I now feel vindicated in extolling the virtues of the club in that CW article last week - I knew it was good but not THAT good.

Right - back to the ill-disciplined frenzy of the training group next week :-)

Great to read another report from the 15's John, thanks. Could not make last Saturday as I was working at Snetterton in Norfolk for the weekend. Anyway it was my last race meeting for the the season so I hope to make it out for the run more often with the Super 15's.

Sean, this is a different Michelle- though i guess she drinks beer tho.

Michelle-the nocturne was the smithfield market road race/crit sponsored by Rapha, another lady ACCer also called Michelle, ptiched up and drank beer all evening.

There sorted!
