The Agreeable Darts team were in action last night and fended off the East Surrey RC in a 6-3 win.

The team:

Joe Wand
Ernie Oakford
John Smith
Paul Tunnell
Tamar Collis
Eddie Mundy

Many thanks to Tamar who provided a spirited and entertaining performance (and won) :D her match.

As it was a "home" match, George walked down the road and had a good evening - good luck with that neck brace George.

Next match as "away" on Thursday October 25 against.....Norwood Paragon

What a top night!

I haven't played darts in about 8 years, but luckily it didn't look like anyone else had either. :D

Of the dozen players there were a handful who could reasonably consistently put the dart where they were aiming...and then a steady decline in talent down to the signficant minority of us who simply launched our darts optimistically in the general direction of the board. Mind you, that approach seemed to work particularly well for one of the opposition who nearly drove PVT to distraction with seemingly random and yet annoyingly high-scoring efforts.

Next match is next Thu (which I can make) but after that it's mostly Tuesdays and I won't be able to do make those ....so if you fancy a few beers and an entertaining game of darts please contact Paul Tunnel for more details.

I might be able to make the odd game if you're short in the future. (I'm always short - just thought I'd better add that before Huw or Marek do  ) I like a game of arrows, and beer, and food.

Couldn't do last night as I was at the Fairfield watching the recording of "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" with Humph and the lovely Samantha.

B*gger. If I'd realised Humph was at the Fairfield I wouldn't have gone to the darts either.

You needed to get tickets early, it was a packed house with a fair sized queue outside waiting for any returns.

I take it from your reference to band practice you're a fan from the jazz side rather than "I'm Sorry....". Seeing it live doesn't make Mornington Crescent any easier to understand  .

For any "I'm Sorry..." fans they recorded 2 shows and the first goes out on Monday 12th November at 6:30pm on Radio 4.

Andrew, FYI Mornington Crescent is one stop north of Camden and the closest tube for Camden KoKo.

Just say no to the hordes of dealers asking you if you want any drugs!
No they don't do EPO I've already asked!

You need to listen to the radio "antidote to panel games" Kasper. Mornington crescent is the name of one of the rounds and is famously probably the most complicated and convoluted game ever created. I believe the original dates back to an old parlour game.

Listen to the programme when it's back om the radio, you won't believe what Humph gets away with saying at 6:30 in the evening. One in last nights was about Samantha going out with a hair dresser. She liked washing his hair and then blowing him dry!
