anyone familiar with 8 speed dura ace cassettes?

i ordered one (12-21) and thought it comes in a dura ace it looks nothing like i thought: the sprockets are full rings of metal (no alloy spider) and it weights 254gm - as much as an mtb cassette!

have i been done?

Looking at the shimano website the 10 speed has holes in (you know what I mean) and weighs only 173. So Id say yep youve got something else there. Why dont you send the part number to shimano to find out

The 9 speed dura ace cassettes are 100g lighter than the 8 speed, mainly due to the fact that the 9 speed uses more titanium.
Average weight for an 8 speed Dura Ace cassette is 255 grams

i have an ultegra and it's very like xt ... dura ace part numbers are 7700 something?
