Trust me boys, the harder you work, the easier it is. You cannot get through Uni without revising, so start now and then the rest will follow!!

Anyway, this thread keeps getting diverted, in less than 48 hours a new champion will be crowned...

But, what do the latest start lists look like??

For my tuppence ha'penny I'd go with...

2nd/3rds (A Race)................4ths&Novices (B Race)

Marek.................................Ajay
Stu Merckx Man...................Mo Jaffer (J)
Hal......................................Grahame
Sylv..................................... Adrian
Chris K................................ Tom Nobes
Steve "Shadow".....................Jon Avery
Kieran...................................Michelle Le Brun (W)
MrPVT...................................Brian N.
Kevin.....................................Jonathan B
Kasper...................................Phil L
RobC.................................... Conor
Keith....................................Dom B
Dan Gee...............................Paul On Pearson
AJC.......................................
.................Andrew G...................
..........................................

I think this is a fair reflection of experience and ability. Adrian, Brian, and one or two others may be strong riders but as far as I know have never raced. They also ride sportives strongly, but on a flat(?) circuit like Hillingdon would they have a sprint finish? Chris K for example won the Novice race last year so I think it would be unfair to keep him there.

It give 2 nicely balanced races without having one over-loaded and the other with only a handful of riders.

I almost certainly won't race as I've been resting, but if I get there and for some reason have good legs then I'll go in which ever race the majority vote for. If Toks needs help then I'll be doing that regardless.

yeah I'll second that Rob.

Cheers Andrew for rating me so highly.

I think you might have to take AJC's place in the race as his constant will i wont i routine is getting boring. Bound not to race if you ask me. Competition too stiff. Not guaranteed the win. Just coming back from injury.

I'd do the same in your shoes Adam. Wait till the last minute and watch the action as it unfolds in front of you. Should be a good hours worth of entertainment. more or less.

Mo, it does not matter how large your IQ is, if you don't know the answer, you don't know the answer. If you have not revised, read or been told the answer to something that is knowledge based, how is your IQ going to help?

Work that one out Einstein.

See you tomorrow.

Cheers

Rob and Kasper, I only put you in the A race as you're both riding pretty well at the moment and ride with either 20s or training group regularly.

Adrian and Brian for example, who are probably similar strength don't get out on CRs as often so and wouldn't be as practiced in the art of sticking their elbows out in the sprint. :D

Not my decision though, Mr. Toks race. I just tried to even up the field numbers a bit as it seemed to have got a bit one sided with all the posts and everyone trying to avoid racing Marek, Stu, and Sylv.

BTW I'll go for a Sylv or Marek win, sorry Stu think you might end up being ganged up on :) .

B race is completely open, but I'll go for Grahame.
