to be honest Mo, I haven't a clue as I've never taken an IQ test. Am I interested in doing one? Not really, as it won't help me get a better job, it's not something people tend to put on their CV.

Anyway, Mo, I'm sure you're a bright young lad, you cycle don't you - a sure sign of above average intelligence, as Marek points out though, later in education you need to attach a good memory (something I lack) to a good intelligence to really get places, unless you're going to work everything out from first principles all the time.

Adam - stop, just race, how will you live with yourself otherwise (& deal with the distain you'd experience in the 19's or training group?? )

Without Paul H, George and Tony taking part:

Sylv, Stu, Marek in the top 3 in no real order followed closely by - maybe in a small break away with Hal? as they'll want to get rid of Steve and other sprinters.

Follwed by Steve and the bunch. No real big time gaps though. Adam will trail in last, sheltering behind the 4th cat/novice bunch and blame it on just coming back from injury and not enough racing recently

saturday bag taxi from GBs

As the weather forecast for tomorrow is pretty reasonable - we can expect rain at any time with the possibility of snow drifts down the back straight.

To that end - anyone riding over from GBs at 10.30 might want to take extra warm clothing/waterproofs/food etc so you can dump bags in my car if you like (saves pack horsing 'em through West London)

I'll have the motor outside GBs from 10.20 for a promt 10.30 departure.
Be mindful though that you might have to carry them back if you want to go directly home - or you can pick them up from me in Croydon early saturday evening if you want me to carry them back for you.

Anyone concealing phials of EPO in their kit please be mindfull of
A) what happened to missus Rumsass
B) that I'm also carrying prizes for the event

So should I get stop searched at the border of Southall this might compromise the arrival of kit, prizes and performance enhancing drugs.

George - in your drunken state at Beer Circus I can't remember if you said you wanted a lift over or not?

I reckon Stu and Adam might have been forging a secret alliance while training together. Adam leads Stu to the primes, and Stu leads Adam for the sprint.

No Stu just a hunch, must walk properly.
You're too good too young :) .
Have they ever led you out for a sprint at Charlwood or do they let you jump first?

Can anyone give me some idea of the route people are taking from GBs so I can tag on at some point? And how come you're leaving so early? 10.30 to get to Hillingdon for 1pm seems a little drastic...

adrain, takes me about 1.5 hours (without killing myself) to get there from forest hill area so probably a little more from croydon, so 10:30 start should do for getting there in time for warm up - chatting etc

Doors open at 1 with racing starting at 2 I think. 1 hour for warm up, chat, registration.

I guess the ride over wil also include a stop to get something to eat otherwise you'll be bloody hungry at the start of the race, let alone by the time you get home again afterwards.

Cheers, Kieran. 1.5 hours riding over there and you need a warm-up?

Anyone that's not going to be part of the GBs posse and wants to hook up for the ride over there, let me know. I live in Brixton and imagine I'd set off around 11.30.

tut tut - don't want to race on a full tummy, have a BIG brekkie, bring some energy gel/bars/drink/bananas and munch on the bike on the way there, have a bar a bit before the race (30min), down the gel just before or during and off you go.

Adrian,

I usually cut across south london via the south circular and cross the river at putney bridge and head up past hammersmith, if you like can meet at top of brixton hill where the south circular cuts across brixton hill/streatham Hill road (intersection of A205 and A23), can make it for 11:30 (should be well up by then)

OK, Kieran - see you at 11.30 on the Clapham side of that junction, on the corner where that dodgy-looking boozer is. I'll be mostly wearing eye-catching black.
