No opening prologue

No time bonuses

'health' profiling for all riders

shorter time trials

a stage similar to the marmotte over Galibier AND Croix defer AND alpe d-huez

the times they are a-changin'

That stage to Alp Duez looks well nasty. 210K with 5 mountain climbs. I wonder why they need these stages..

I kinda expected they would introduce some more rest days to help the riders recovery; and maybe reduce the distances a little....That would help reduce the need to use drugs. I am not sure that simply making the controls tougher will help that much on its own....All it will do is catch more 'cheats'...

Anyhow - Well wait and see...

There are two less mountain stages but anyone who's ridden in the massif central will know that there ain't many flat roads round there, so the first week could be interesting - a real war of attrition.

The complaints I've read are that rest days aren't rest days because they do a long transfer during them.

Ooooh Brittany. Oh, you mean the region in France :( Any road up - mussels/oysters/prawns in Vannes (that's the town not the form of transport) - worth the trip for that alone
