Great "letter" Sean. I'm sure Paul will know Kristin from when she was in the Addiscombe, and now through Surrey League.

I've spoken to Glyn Durrant a few times at races at Chertsey this year. Nice bloke, I think the Durrants pretty much run SL along with Keith Butler. (?)

Good looking website PBA have.

Next time someone's near Plano, Texas they'll have to make sure they wear their Addiscombe jersey. :D

Sorry Marco, your memory's playing tricks on you - it wasn't Kristin that was Gazette editor, but Glyn's FIRST wife wife an uncannily similar name of Kirstin (same letters different order).

Kristin came along later and was involved in club activities, but not to any great extent other than supporting Glyn.

Kristin now does a large amount for the Surrey League, and along with Glyn, they felt that it was best to do that work in an "independent" way, and not be seen to favouring certain clubs.

Dad's post has promted me to search the loft for old copies of The Gazette.

I don't think I have a complete set from when Kristin was the editor, but I do have copies from January 1994 to June 1997. I joined the Addiscombe in 1975 and I was General Secretary from 1993 to 1997.

My first wife was Rita, who joined the Addiscombe back in 1978 and rode plenty of time trials in club colours including a couple of National Championships.
