Sunday Club Run

Today was superb, 7 of us set out over to Petworth for Dave Palmer and Nick to work out numbers of marshals etc for the coming time trial. Once over at Loxwood we left Nick and Dave to sort out the buziness and the rest of us did the course. Of course we did most of this at race speed, with Dave Kennett and Doug doing most of the work at the front, I must admit I was killing myself to stay on and probably managed to go on the front for one downhill section and that was about it.

We stopped in Petworth and found an excellent cafe. No fat Carrot cake, which most people had, whereas I had the Bread Pudding. I think the Cafe was called something like Tippins? Highly recommended, although get there early as it got packed out with cyclist as we were leaving.

After that we then went and caught back up with Nick and Dave and headed back home.

Still managed to just about burn it up Merstham hill, although am no match to Dave K or Mark the time trialler.

Had 100 miles on the clock when I walked in at 3.30pm and the bonus is that I didn't get into too much trouble as I texted from Petworth. Hoarah.

Put in 270 miles this week which is almost double what I normally manage, I think I will get the train to work tomorrow.

Cheers to all those out today, really friendly group and an excellent ride.
