Unlike many on this forum, i have a life. I do not sit
on my harris all day in front of a computer, things like that seem to get broken very easily on site.

Scroll down to nearly at the bottom to see the female cycling porn (NOT).

Thanks Sylv for the awesome 'sexies'. Myself would go for the big yellow one.

Reminds me of my experience when I had my serious accident in 2001, where I broke my tibia in 5 places. The surgeon said that putting it back together was like doing a jigsaw

I still have the metalwork in place and a similar X-ray to Dennis, with 2 screws in place at top and bottom.

Interesting as well reading his blog that getting back on the bike was the most improtant thing - despite that the fact that I couldn't walk, and like Dennis, the first time out, I went up a hill and could not get out of the saddle, didn't have a low enough gear and just slowly toppled over when forward motion ceased (but unlike Dennis, I made sure I landed on the opposite side!!).

I went through days with no pain at all, then all of a sudden a few days where it just hurt from the inside. Fortunately that has more or less gone away - I did feel it aching a couple of weeks ago when we had a cold spell, which I have been told is due to the expansion/contraction of the metal at a different rate to the bone, and it takes a few days to acclimatise, but then fine.

Also, where the compund fracture (bone sticking out through the skin) occurred, the nerves still seem to be close to the surface and pressing on that area makes my big toe move........how about that George???

The accident was in December and the I was riding again in February (slowly), but managed to ride a 12 hour in August (238 miles, a PB at the time).
