talking of cafes - club run ideas

OK, I know this is from my local CTC section (not that I ride with them anymore).

The secretary of the Cheam and Morden has compiled a very useful list of tea stops which I thought might be useful if you wanted to line up a ride with a definite stop in mind (with food and drink :D )

The link is http://freespace.virgin.net/graham.hill3/TeaStops.htm

Also possibly of interest is the C&M rides list. I think they've got shorter since I was riding with them but they may help inspire people to go to different places and widen the club run. http://www.aqvm78.dsl.pipex.com/SWLDA/R ... urrent.htm

I'd like to do some longer rides maybe with a decent cafe halfway.

Yep, from one CTC member to another, Bus :D

Thanks for the invite - there's a gap between the club run and the semi-suicidal rides of the more hardened club members. It'd be nice to encourage more people to try out different routes and places.

George, I'm sure the others will love it if you came out and stuffed your face with tea and cake - it might slow you down

Everyone in favour of George going out with a non training group and eating loads of cake and drinking copious amounts of tea say 'I'.

See you at the first race of the season chubby.

Cheers

I'd like a trip to Penshurt but not with you, Graham, and not at the moment - too fast :!:

I'm happy to accompany anyone who wants to get out on some different lanes at a reasonable pace (my reasonable is probably not above 17mph average :!: ) Just don't expect me to lead - I'm too nervous for that

and before anyone says it - my CTC section is too slow for me now.
