Imperial Winter Series 2007/2008 - Hillingdon

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

[quote="kieran"]kasper, you're only in croydon? cycle over ! good training then all round.

Yeah I see those more of a way to avoid getting rusty during the winter months and the big "shock to the system" that are the first few races in the new season, also because I'm too lazy to get on a turbo or do some solo training miles, but somehow I'll always enjoy a good hard race, even moreso if I've ridden to and back from it.

Well actually last year I was after early 3nd cat points but not so this year, which mean I might allow myself to try and join some suicide breaks instead of waiting for the final sprint :D

Might do a couple of the Feb ones for a bit of speed training. Won't do any before then as I started early this year and was dead by July / August.

I fancy getting to as of many as these as possible. They'll be over by February and then I've got a month or so respite before the weather warms up (hopefully). Feeling quite good at the moment and really enjoyed the ACC race there. Would have liked to have started in with the 4ths and novices (where I belonged) but now I've got my chance so no complaints.

i was going to do it today. but the weather for tomorrow is bad, and i knew that if i did the race today, then i would probably not go out tomorrow. and as the training group (stuandsylvaining group   ) is better training than a 1 hour race at hillingdon i thought i better give it a miss incase i dont ride tomorrow.
