how do you become a coach, and what courses and levels are there?

Does it work like rugby, football and cricket, where it is:

level 1->level 2->level 3 etc.

People at school are contemplating doing the three above, (i might do rugby or cricket)

So I just started to wonder as you do :wink:

Yes Mo there is a structure.

BC are currently aligning their coaching regime so that there is a cross sport base with a specific cyling element.

I once did the ABC coaching award, then they changed it all and sudenly I wasn't a coach any more, so got a bit p.....d off and never bothered to do it all over again.

We need coaches, something which is the main barrier to us becoming a "go-ride" club or even "accredited status".

But I have to do a first aid course...(ah well, that will inevitably be useful in later life)
