so who's planning on road racing in ACC colours for 2008

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Talking about how hard life is as a 2nd, constantly getting a kicking from the E/1s.

Exactly, and he is no slouch. :P

Sure isn't. I saw Tim in a couple of the Chertey E/1/2 races and he went pretty well there. Always looked well placed and got in a break or two, in the E/1/2s these stuck at Chertsey. Boy did they shift round that circuit though.

i like the idea of having a go at CP, even if i last 10 mins.

May well live to regret this as I have no real time available to train at the moment.
But definitely yes.

Neil Mac (3rd cat)

I'm the bloke who's been turning up in the corridori shirt
(at least its yellow & black)

P.S. I promise I'll buy a club shirt before I ride.
Nah you're not getting away with that one Neil. As a 3rd or 4th cat to race in (not necessarily competitively) short Road Races or crits you can definitely get away with about 3/4 hours per week on the bike. They'll have to be hard training rides mind you but it can be definitley be done. :D

Toks, when I first read your post I thought it said 3/4 of an hour a
week. (not necessarily competitive) would be right. LOL

Point taken though no more excuses.

No probs as a 3rd cat for at least a couple of months (May-July) in 2005 i just did three 45min crit races a week in the evening. The intensity was such that no other training was needed. A couple of 2 x 20's per week will sort out your aerobic engine for you :D

 Neil, shut up!

Seriously mate, you were flying with Steve, Sylv and I up and over Merstham drag a couple of weeks ago. Your trained enough!

Don't let that be an excuse not to do any training at all though
