Singletrack magazine Fort Bill photo comp

I was thumbing through this month's issue of Singletrack on the train this morning (as I often do) and admiring the superb winning images in their Fort William photo competition when I spotted a familiar name next to the third placed pic: Sylvain Garde.

Well done, mate! What tasty SRAM gear did you win?

The 3rd placed image:

Funnily enough, the prize from Sram has just turned up this morning from Germany! - haven't even opened the box yet. X9 shifters, derailleurs, cassette and chain :-).

Next - a picture of me racing in ACC colours on a record cover (hopefully) ... I'll keep you posted.

Cool!

What's the story with the record cover? Sounds intriguing!

It's nice kit indeed (though I can't figure out how the downshifting works without the shifters being mounted - do you use the thumb under the bars?).

I think I will put it on the Yeti - drivetrain is showing signs of age!

For the album, I'd sent a pic of me at Palace with a #22 on my back to my favourite Finnish band for their new album cover patchwork, but I've just had a look at the preview clip on their site, and it's not in there - you could just about make out the "22" on my back, and those picked are a lot more obvious (like house numbers or number plates).

It would have been pretty cool to feature as album art :)

That was still a pretty cool idea - I wouldn't have a clue what numbers I've raced with

Paul, the number on my back at Dunsfold last Easter should have given you a better picture as to which place I finished
