Hey Stu
£100 will get a good pair at Butlers at Xmas ... Fit is all though... and there is only one colour - white ...
I have the Shimano Custom, which are great - like slippers, and the new R220 are semi custom too, and they come in white (waiting for my pair soon) but there are only a very limited selection of shops that have the oven and vacuum pump (On yer Bike at London Bridge has one and charging £15 for fitting) ... The Shimano Custum ones are very, very good though ...
Lisa has White Sidi ergo2 which she loves, and they fit well too, white obviously, but can't get on with her Shimano R220s ... All to do with fit ya see ...
Another small tip - go later in the day, after a bit of a walk and your feet will swell during the day, and due to the general unforgiving nature of cycling shoes, if they end up being too small at the end of the ride, they will cripple you
Also haggle with Butler for the ACC advance sale (you can usually twist their arm to get your added discount before Xmas) so you get a full choice of sizes and you are not climbing over everyone in the sale.
