Certainly not shooting the messenger here, but really - this is toe-curling stuff. Who or what made her think this was a good idea?

See previous threads on encouraging women to get into cycling

[quote]I think it sends out a strong message, A woman cyclist can be athletic yet at the same time feminine.

That's one interpretation. Another is that no matter what you achieve on the bike, your chief value for the majority of people in cycling (ie men) is as drool-fodder.

She is obviously taking next years sports personality contest seriously. If she gets on page 3 and wins 4 gold medals, she'll have it sewn up...

Number 4 has it.....

It must have been well paid, I don't know how much she makes from cycling but it certainly must have helped buying the xmas presents

Go easy now fellas! There's threads on She cycles and Bike Radar encouraging women to come and try out an ACC ride :D We wouldn't want to put them off no matter how harmless your comment appears to be :D

She definitely needs a new mechanic. Her chain looks way too slack in numbers 1 and 11.

She also needs a new PR person. This was a really bad idea - it does nothing for her, nothing for the sport and (oddly) nothing for me. Maybe someone flogged a few frocks as a result, but I rather doubt it.

Young Miss Vicky came to my grotto and sat on my knee the other day.
I was very tempted to give her a large present.

Ho Ho Ho!

Crikey Santa, steady on! I wonder, who takes away YOUR presents in the event of excessive bad behaviour eh...?
