How cold is Calshot?

Nice easy question to shart the day with, how many layers do I need to take, probably more for when not on a bike?

It is b***** y freezing in there.

It is an aircraft hanger with no (little) heating.

Lots of layers are good as the riding will soon warm you up.

Well there's no heating, and it's January, so if it's 5 degrees outside then it's 5 degrees inside too. About 15 layers should be enough.

I've just been for a spin around the Hampshire countryside and was ok in base layer, winter jersey, jacket, long tights, overshoes, two pairs of gloves and fleecy hat. It's quite a bit warmer than it was yesterday though.

A track suit will be a good idea for the time spent off the bike, although I'll have my rollers for added warmth .

Takes the curlers out first Jon, just uses them to give his hair a nice curly springiness for added crash protection.
