Presumably the one requirement for a Keirin frame is for it to be mega stiff to handle the power output of monsters like Chris Hoy. So riding one other than for short races on a velodrome could be a fairly uncomfortable experience.

When I was in Tokyo I found most ordinary bike shops very euro centred.
