Turbo Computer

Postby tel » Tue Jan 15, 2008 3:48 pm

I made a mistake a bought a wireless computer for the rear wheel of my turbo bike.

Unfortunately the magnet is too far from the monitor,
so it does not work properly.

Before I buy another, does anybody have any experience of a wired comp that will work on the rear wheel-obviously I don`t want to pay a fortune.

Thanks in anticipation.

Terry - I use Cateye Astrale 8 works off back wheel - wired. Does cadence too (not sure if that's an optional extra). Perfect for use on the turbo - tidy!!

If you get a wireless computer with a combined cadence/speed sensor the range will be ok for the back wheel. I use a cateye computer to do just this. They are a bit pricier though

Terry,

As mentioned on Saturday, I've just bought the Blacburn Delphi 3.0 (wired rear wheel and cadence) for the turbo. The only thing is that it is heavy duty wire, but otherwise fine.
