very aero! ok it's carbon fibre, but what is it? my guess would be the sawn off part of an integrated seatpost?

Bingo.

I was in Butlers on Saturday, and whilst peaking an eye in their workshop I saw they had just been cutting the seat mast of a Look 595 - so I asked nicely if I could have the cut off bit :-)

But the best thing is ... they told me the name of the ACC rider who was getting the bike!

Ive been told he might remain silent until the bike is fully built ... but the guesses are open :-)

Ha that would be handy - then I could trade you in the 585, after the Merlin!

Too bad it's the best frame I ever had (ask Huw in about a week!) ...

8)

i thought it would be a bit cheeky to nick part of another ACCers bike, even if surplus!

so is that an MTB or TT frame? -- show us the whole thing!

I think it will be at least another week until i build it up transferring the parts from the "old" bike (that is true), just waiting for a new chain/cassette to have a new drivetrain on it for its first ride

but I did cut that post myself!

I hope you wore some facial protection, I understand that cabon fibre dust can be seriously harmful to the respiratory system. What are doing with the old bike then
