Ashdown is a sell out

450 riders apparently pre-entered so not taking any on the line entries

The organiser had better deliver on this event cos 450 riders is up there with a medium sized sportive and only a couple of years ago 75 riders was seen as a big success on this ride

And theres parking for about 10 cars!!!

Oh crap - I got in

See Michelle & Keith are doing it.

I am now going to drive over there on account of the fact that I'll be cattled when I finish and don't want to ride home

Snoop,

was going to suggest you come to ours in Oxted and ride over with us.

Probably better to find somewhere in Knockholt 1 mile away from the start. I think its still a few (hilly) miles from ours to get there.

God only knows why I am doing this nutterdom. Sigh, seemed like a good idea at the time!

Ah yes - cheers, Jon. I'd got used to looking in the sidebar and ignoring the front page.

Nobody would know, there are no numbers (as far as I'm aware) you just wouldn't have to get your card stamped at the checkpoints. I still consider it a reliability ride not a sportive.

I'm number 199. They're going to launch us in groups of 20 @ five min intervals so just meet up round the corner I guess...?

I don't :D It's the only one of these I'll do this year so it's a sportive, alright....?

talking to Marcus at the darts match, he told me that our "friends" at the Norwood Paragon have arranged an "alternative" and invited anyone from ACC who wants to join them on Sunday.

It will start at 9:30am from Reigate Town Hall, and will head down the lanes to Ditchling, over to Turners Hill, and back up to cafe stop at Fanny's Farm.
