The race HQ is in Liphook (Bohunt school) but the course is miles away.
You'd have trouble finding as it's a typical Keith Butler course, out in the middle of nowhere on country roads!

All I know is we start from the school, it's neutralised for a few miles and when we climb the 'killer hill' there should be a 10 laps to go board. At that point we'd probably been racing for 10 miles.

If you're thinking of heading tomorrow/friday i'd have to say you're leaving it too late. Cut your loses, stay on my wheel for the first 20 miles and do as I say, not as I do.

Oh, and eat lots of carbs the night before and get plenty of sleep. There'll be no getting 'intimate' with your new bike just hours before the biggest race of your cycling career !?!

If you're stuck for a ride let me know. There may be room in the team car but you'd have to sit with 'the enemy'!

im thinking of driving down to watch on the saturday so will have a spare space in my car. ( and a bike rack that can carry a bike and 2 spare wheels, or 3 bikes)
if either of you two (Brett, Rob) need a lift to liphook let me know. I only have one spare seat as you know so whoever wants it then be quick.

ive decided to have a go at some racing this weekend as well ( other than Herne Hill on friday if its not rained off), just for the hell of it, so I will be heading to goodwood on the sunday as well ( thats the plan anyway)
and eastway on the monday.

chances are I will have a space in my car for anyone who wants to go to these events/races so if anyone else wants in, then im happy to share my car space. I can easily be bribed/bought with chocolate, carbo gel, a loaf of soreen malt loaf or a bunch of bananas...

Thanks for the offer Jayne but I've got a ride (advantages of being in a team with a car)
Anyway, your little MR2 couldn't fit my entourage (masseuse, psychologist, motivator, mechanic, water boy and cheer squad)

All the gear, no idea!!!!

See you there,

BIP

Rob - that is the correct place. It is just off the A3. Bohunt school is fairly central - if you take the first exit off the A3 for Liphook, head in to Liphook and then go right at the first roundabout (I think!) for the school. Its about 200m down that road. Its not that hard to find - honest!

Had anyone noticed a guy called Rob Hurd on the start sheet. On current form, he is one of the strongest riders in the country. Sort of Tony Gibb's standard! However, he only has a 1st Cat licence! Someone needs to mark him......

Tony, you'll be marking Rob? We'll be marking you!

See you there if you're riding? Noticed your name wasn't on the start sheet.
