ive learnt a few ways of making it less boring.

1) a bit vain, but i put a full length mirror in front of me so i can see myself riding, then i practise my victory salutes.

2) stick it outside on a clear night and enjoy the view of the stars.

3) since i won my spanking new flat screen TV in the acc raffle i have set it up and play tour de france videos whilst riding, i can do an hour and it only feels like 5 mintues, even riding hard! :o

I've been getting up early for years for work. I use to get up @ 5:30am for work so getting an hour early is easy for me...I'm in bed by 10:30pm. So if I want to ride I have no choice as it's not possible at the moment in the evenings.

So that equates to 13.5 hours riding a week - more than most 3rd cats and probably 2nd cats  as well. You'll have a great year
