Eddie Mundy's Funeral - Help Needed

Postby richv » Sun Jan 27, 2008 3:18 pm

Some of you will know Eddie will be having an escort organised by the submariners at his funeral. They have asked Chris Watts if some members of the club would be prepared to join the escort to represent the club. As I understand it we need about half a dozen volunteers who are prepared to turn up in club kit (with bikes) to walk behind the coffin and military escort. If you can help out post here, pm me or e-mail me (vineyat12kbwdotcodotuk) and if we can get enough volunteers I will liaise with the submariners and let you know details.

Thanks

Richard

Thank you everyone. I have just spoken to the person from the submariner's association who is arranging their contribution. The idea is that we will escort the hearse down the crematorium drive. Could we please meet at 3pm at the crematorium gates so we can run through what we are going to do so that we don't get in the way. Club kit, bike, and some shoes you can walk in.

B*gger...bike is not entirely clean  ...and I'm out late tonight and have an early meeting tomorrow morning. Guess I will be getting up VERY early to make it look nice for Eddie.

I am coming to see Eddie off too, I was unsure whether to cycle or not but I will now. If there's too many of us I don't mind stepping back, but at least I won't feel out of place wearing club kit!
