I remember a fully built bike of theirs getting a good review in Cycling Plus. For the price in the group buy you can't go wrong can you? If you don't get on with it stick it on ebay.

Had to look at that twice to double check the price, at that money for a sub kilo carbon frame it must be worth a punt. Even if you get caught for the import duty it will still be a bloody good price.

I know several people who have bought Pedalforce frames recently and all, withought exceptions have been over the moon with the purchase.
Personally I prefer the ZX3 frame. It looks a bit beefier around the BB

Regarding the fact that it's not a 'brand', I know that the pedal force frame is re-badged and sold by an italian frame makers for over double what Pedal force charge. I also know that Mario Cippolini used one for a time.
I'll try and dig out the links if I can find them.

What's more, Pedal Force's Customer service is really really good too.
In short, you can't beat this frame , value for money wise.

Yep, Pedal Force bikes are gathering quite a following and seem to offer superb value for money.

The Italian brand Colin is referring to that sells an identical frame to the Pedal Force ZX3 for a lot more roubles is Max Lelli:

A while ago Cycling Plus did a feature on budget carbon frames and compared an earlier Pedalforce to an Isaac, a Pearson and a Planet X. It did extremely well despite being less than two thirds the price of the Planet X and less than half the price of the Isaac and the Pearson.

Personally I'd go for the new Canyon F10, due to ship in March. Its predecessor won loads of group tests and was one of the best frames available at any price; and a complete steal at the €1300 list price. In a big frame group test by German mag Tour last year it came second only to the £2600 (frameset only!) Storck Fascenario, beating the likes of the Felt F1, Look 595 and the Pinarello Paris.

The new F10 promises to be even better, and if you have a racing licence Canyon will give you a generous discount, giving you one of the best frames in the world for around £800. But on a budget, I reckon the Pedal Force is hard to beat.

Same as Rob I remember seeing something in C+ on one of their frames, and they really liked it, said it rode very well. I think the review I saw was their first frame they did, certainly didn't look as nice as the 2 linked to on here - it was a bit more basic and looked a bit budget.

The only think that looked naff on the one in the review I saw was the name graphic which was plain white and in a pretty normal word typeface, it looked like someone had got busy with the letter-a-set (SP?) . If these come plain black then you could keep it nice and stealthy or get your own done somewhere decent.

As long as you don't get stung on import duty and VAT too much then it should be a bargain, but get in quick before the dollar rate moves too much.

They probably come out of the same mould as other carbon frames which get a fancy paint job and a premium price.

Paul - the frames are excellent - what's variable is the import procedure - we know of a guy who bought one and paid £80 import tax and we know of another guy who bought one and the tax was more than the frame cost - seems to depend on who's on the desk on the day.

There is a wider 'investigation' going on into how viable it is to buy quality frames/bikes/groupsets from the USA much cheaper than from uk suppliers since the exchange rate became so favourable. Day by day it seems to be becoming a more viable option and the PedalForce frames are at the forefront because of the quality they offer for the money.

A few people who have signed up for the group deal are reporting back to us on how they get on and if the best case scenario comes into being - ie you/they end up with a superb frame at low cost in march - we'll run a feature on it and stick a rocket up the Ar**s of some very worried UK distributors

In theory the only tax you have to pay is VAT and I have imported stuff from US without problems.

I might tell them CW will do an article on the frame so hopefully I will get mine quicker. I reckon I can do a sub 15lb bike. You will have to take the pictures quickly before it gets dirty.

Paul looks like you just bought yourself a new sub 1 kilo bike then,
you need all the help you can get up box hill to stop youself from getting dropped.

Don't worry if you have to pay the import tax, that should lighten your pocket too
