My bike has a Campag Chainset at the front with a Shinmano 600 deralleur and a Shimano 600 cassette and deralleur at the rear.

Does anybody know if there any compatability problems with this i.e. are the teeth differant and should I buy a Shimano or Campag chain etc?

Assume you have campag gear levers as you're running campag cassette and rear mech.

You're best to have one or the other as mixing them will cause them to wear out quicker as chains for campay and shimano are different. You may also get indexing problems.

If it's Shimano 600 then it's a few years old, probably a 7 or 8 speed cassette, in which case any standard chain should be OK - I'd go for a Sachs/Sedis or whatever they're called now. Chain compatability only really started becoming an issue when 9 speed came in and they had to reduce the width of the chain.
