[quote]stay on this road for ages! go passed wakehurst, ardingly showground, ardingly, and lindfield.
head toward haywards heath.
At RAB 3rd exit (ithink)
A few long stretches of undulating road should see you approaching village of ditchling.
I really don't like this bit - too busy and on main roads......suggestion:
try turning left at the fork via West Hoathly, through the village of Sharpthorne, and turn Right (signpost industrial estate - 1 warehouse -careful spelling
) into Horsted Lane and descend forever - a lovely road. Up a small rise, straight over the next junction. Right at the T, under the railway (Bluebell - steam) then keep left, descend (care)MONT(E)Y'S HILL. Keep left at the fork and left again to the main road (A272).Right up the hill and immediately left (Slugwash Lane). Right at the end to Wivelsfield Green, turning Right at the junction, ignorong the small side roads and village hall into South Road, keep Right at the mini RBT down Hundred Acre Lane. At the T junction turn left then IMMEDIATELY right through Plumpton til the main road (B2116) Turn right and after about 1/4 mile, keep left into what looks like a farm track, but is actually a road - Underhill Lane. This cuts across and joins Ditchling part way up........
Enjoy
Wish I could ride down with you
