Surrey League Easter 3 Day

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Surrey League Easter 3 Day

Which of you lovely black & gold racers are entering this then?

I really fancy having a go but would like to have a large complement of acc'ers there to stop those nasty cat twos from bullying me :D

Yep,

Had a sh1t race @ Hillingdon on Saturday but came eighth at the end so two points for that plus eight for Jan 12 makes ten points.

Unhappy with the result but 3rd cat now so job done

Thanks Adam.

I'll try the third cat only version if no-one else is having a go at this.

Unless your entering in which case I might just sit on your back for three days

I'm thinking about it and I think others are too
But if so, March will be racing every weekend, including those 3 in a row - wondering if it's not too much too soon

Sylv, I don't think so... I did it last year and it really got my ass in gear! So long as you allow yourself to recover properly after the 3-day, you should come out of it much stronger. having said that, I'm sure the 1/2/3 race is much tougher!

Dan, stage 1 finishes on a 25% gradient, still gonna stick on my wheel!? Because I doubt ill be too close to the front! lol

Thanks Andrew. To be honest I don't think I deserved a result as I was a bit hungover and just didn't really get into the race at all.

I don' t want to race at any thing less than a 110% and so I'm not best pleased with myself; whats the point if your'e not giving it your all?

Adam,

I don't fancy chasing any featherweight first cats up a 25% finish  Might be a bit more realistic for me to opt for the third cat race.

Then again by March who knows?

Hungover Dan, surely not
See you at Palace later in the year, although the way you've been going probably only at the start of the race  . No choice but Palace now you're a 3rd, unless you fancy the E/1/2/3 on Tuesday nights at Hillingdon.

Never did make it over there to see if I could nick 3rd cat in the Winter Series, oh well never mind. Doesn't matter as I only really do Palace and that's a 3/4 race anyway.

we'll have to see at palace. A lot of the lap is spent going uphill and i've got a load more lard to haul up it every couple of minutes

Nowhere near as confidant about Palace as I was about Hillingdon-no excuse not to go though as its only half a mile from my doorstep whereas cycling to hillingdon and back after work is a total no-no.

Still looking forward to racing @ Palace though :o go figure

Mr T,

I clearly recall last years furore re surrey league entries. Let me reassure you that I intend to send off my form, cheque and passport sized photo well before I present myself for my first surrey league event.

Toks,

I look forward to meeting you finally on the start line :D
