Shimano 24hr Road Race

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Is anyone doing this? Or thoughts of an ACC group? http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/web/si ... s_open.asp

I've seen it and thought about it, but done nothing towards recruiting.

The thing that wasn't clear to me is it seemed to imply it was run by categories, so I wasn't sure if we could have some 2nd, 3rd and 4ths together in the same team.

Yeah you can have a mixed group, there's an example on the site how you work out what "points" your team has and which category you then fit in.
Aha found the page: http://www.shimano24.co.uk/teaminfo/index.html

No chance, but I see you must have a DS. I'm happy to shout "encouragement" at you if you like when you're a drooling mess hanging on to your bike for grim death. :D

No, not a decap. (Have you seen the price on those? £40k for a restoration project to £100k for a minter  !)

Mine is a '73 DS20 Pallas. It is currently away for restoration, and I hope to get it back early next month.
