Hey, Paul, Stu and George are you up for doing this, I could do with getting some hills in after having done no training this week due to work. Not sure I will be able to keep up with you boyz on the hills, but this is quite a good route, alhtough a little treacherous in places.

Cheers

Marek....

Confirmations aren't sent as a matter or course, the organiser's just having a laugh as he knows of the theoretical rivalry so has sent a couple out I think. Don't worry your name will be on the list.

He said the same to me Mike, and added that he'd heard they are better looking. I just told him that they started the rumours themselves and weren't as agreeable as us :D .

Goes without saying chaps don't get too carried away racing the course as some of the descents will be gravelly (sp?) at the bottom and it's due to be a cold start so could be a bit of ice under some of the trees still. Don't really want to have to strap broken body parts to my rack when I come past.

Mike - 11w energy efficient ones are good.

[quote="George"][quote]Addiscombe ain't got many that could show a clean pair of heels to Paragon, shame I won't be there, would be quite an amusing fight.
Well we know what team your gonna jump ship to next year then Adam

Well they've already tried to sign me once or twice

Dont blame you Adam.

If you want to compare yourself against the Paragon, then you have to take training bikes as apparently that is the etiquette for this sort of ride.

I'll be there but not overkeen as fast, gravely, icy, wet descents scare the life out of me.

Suggest we do the 10:30 start to let others test the root first.

What time shall we leave CSS?

I have managed to escape domestic duties for a Saturday and I pre-registered early this morning. So as long as my throat holds up (feels a bit odd at the moment) I will see you there. I think I will be leaving with the 8.30am group from CSS.

I am just off to fit some new brake blocks :D

I have registered for the Hilly 50 yesterday but might struggle to get to CSS by 8:30. I'm a definite for 8:45 though.

Will anyone be there to collect my subs ?

Another thing.
Don't know who it was but I borrowed a £1.50 off someone last week for parking in the station. Normally I enjoy the 10 mile warmup to CSS from Beckenham but I took my wife on the clubrun last Saturday (one 2008 objective in the bag) and she thought we could could warmup in the car with the heating on instead :-)
The 40 a day Marlboro red woman who works at the station was threatening to have me clamped. Her words hung heavy around my ears as I panicked and grabbed someone's hand with a fiver in it.

If you're that agreeable let me know.

Ed.

See you tomorrow Ed.
