third shout for mull of kintyre (holy crap I'm so ashamed) as a first purchase. I'm in good company with marco and Grahame. Fortunately I came to my senses very shortly after that so my 2nd 3rd and 4th purchases (all from Page 43 records in Selsdon) were White Riot, Complete Control and Remote Control. The Clash singles were all in picture cover. Mull of Kintyre wasn't - so I made my own (this just gets even more cringeworthy non....?).

I don't recall my furst album purchase but I did own a Slim Whitman lp a loooooong time ago. It had Una Paloma Blanca on it. :oops: :oops:

I'll get me coat....

Once I'd negotiated enough pocket money to buy albums, though, I bought Rumours, which still features in my list of Platters that Matter.
