How did you get on with your Shimano brakes at the weekend Adam? Sorry, couldn't resist it. How's the knee, does everything feel normal again or do we still need to stick the ice bucket on it tomorrow night?

Mate, I didn't even have a chance to brake! Nor did I need them the day before when I won by 3 bike lengths

Not sure about the knee. It's quite colourful still. And It feels tight but I'm not sure if thats just the graze scabbing over or if the muscles ect underneath are still damaged...

Are all these accidents being caused by people taking their brake blocks out and forgetting to put them back in again

Thanks for all the replies, at least I know I'm not the only one struggling. AndrewG that sounds like good advice about the callipers, sadly I've got replacement pads now so I'm stuck with them. Anyway you ride a fixed, what do you need brakes for?

And it is true, I used to have no problems swapping my old Shimano pads, I did however have problems stopping the bike...

Out with the pliers, fairy liquid and most likely vaseline it is then...

[Finbar warning]

Whatever you do, don't ask to see Adrian's toolbox.
