Chertsey 17th Feb

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Yeah, the idea of rushing around late bothers me so I have to be there as early as possible. Will they let us on the track to warm up?

Probably, if not there's plenty of other space round there. Theres a big circle skid pan type thing you can ride around there!

Cheeky sod calling me a vet
My "season" won't start until 16th March, and that's with some sporting TTs, which judging by my current form will probably end up as training races. I'm certainly not expecting anything from them, other than finishing without having to scoop my lungs off the handlebars afterwards.

I'll probably only be road racing (crits) at Palace and the Sutton one again. Oh and the Addiscombe one I expect, so you'll have to find another beautiful assistant to show your lap boards. :D

Talking of the Sutton race Andrew have you any details on it yet, date etc, as I might be up for this as its a good chance to go down Sutton high street without the misses in tow spending a small fortune, hopefully she'll come and watch and stay away from the shoe shops.

Can I just point out that the 12th place riders are listed in race number order. Not that it matters...

:D If it matters to you Rob then it matters. A couple of years ago I went through this slightly annoying phase at Eastway where if I wasn't gonna place I'd finish the race 300 metres before the line. In effect roll in between 40th and 50th it was really weird I only did it at Eastway :?

No but it was around July last year I think. By the way you go up the high street not down it, it's a very small loop and feels like you're constantly trying to go uphill as quick as you can  .

I'd say more to do with power Marco. I can't climb and have no power so I struggled :D .
Shadow got 4th or 5th i think in the 4th cat race. The hill is too short for a proper climber it's just short sharp power efforts with no real respite. (I'm selling this well aren't I :? )

Me...a climber...god no Marco, prob my weakest part of the old cycling game is my climbing.. must try harder...

Cheers Andrew, will look out for details nearer the time. I went for a few practice laps today but kept getting dragged into M&S to look at shoes and hanbags. I told Mrs Loony I dont need a new handbag but would she listen...
