You could take your BC license to show you're an ACC member.

I think it's 10%. I haven't bought from GBs for ages last time I did I didn't get discount - didn't have any proof

The last thing I bought was a Mavic wireless computer, I had to return it three times for a replacement, I asked for money back after second time they would only replace. When I took back number four I made a polite fuss and they finally took it back and replaced with a cateye wired computer which has since worked perfectly.

In addition to the 10% discount you normally get served in an offhand manner too, I think they give that to all customers mind, not just ACC

Doubtless others have had different experiences but for me personally, I'd only buy ACC kit from there (cos I can't get it anywhere else) - and through gritted teeth. Nice bikes, shame about the attitude.

They're always chatty and friendly when I go in there.
10% on everything except:
ACC kit, which has it built in on the basis no one alse would be buying it.
Mechanic's labour charge.
Anything already discounted or on sale.

Yup, I got an unexpected 10% last weekend when I bought the bits to replace my shredded kit (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6164)

They asked to see Addiscombe card but I turned on my renowned powers of charm and persuasion and they buckled. well something like that.

I must admit my limited experience of buying in GBs is similar to Snoops and seeing as I am a paid up member of LCC I can get 10% discounts in lots of bike shops, like Brixton cycles, where the staff is very friendly.
