Yesterday after the race as soon as I stepped off the bike I had an excruciating pain on the outside of my feet, both sides but much more on the right - kind of just behind the level of the ball of the foot (but on the other side). I was limping and can still feel it a bit today although it is ok on the bike.
I've only had this once or twice before, always after long hard races. But never after a clubrun which is often 100km for me, same distance as the race, or a longer and easier ride. The setup was exactly the same as it has been for months.
I am not sure what I could try to prevent this, not keen to try different shoes than my Sidis, but maybe moving the cleats laterally. If I get to do some stage races it could become a real problem.
