I was recently contacted by a lady called Vicky who wants to come on this saturday's club run. Unfortunately I've buggered up my knee so I won't be able to chaperone her this saturday(15th). Nevertheless I've told her not to worry, that everyone is really friendly and will look after her when she arrives. She's ridden with Phil S before so I think, 22mph - only joking!, 15/16mph shouldn't be a problem. She's riding up from near Victoria so she should definitley be there by 9.15.

Cheers guys, Toks

Hello, yes that?s me! Thanks heaps to Toks for helping me out. So guys, if you see a girl on a silver Cannondale looking lost on Saturday morning that?ll be me!

I just hope I don't take a wrong turn on the way there  If I'm coming along the A23 how exactly do I find the station? And what should I do when I get there?

Thanks

Vicky

If you're on the A23 just keep going south until you see the station on your left just after going through Coulsdon. It's pretty easy to spot.

Just turn up and say hello to anyone with a bike - most of them don't bite.

Hi Vicky

Committee and Vice captains will look out for any new people they don't recognise and will hopefully introduce themselves!

NB there are about 3 groups with slower riders going off last.

Hi Vicky,

I'll look out for you (silver cannondale) tomorrow, I think there will be quite a few newcomers as the weather looks good!

As Elliot said there will be several groups of varing abilities so no problem there. The slowest group is a 15mph average, so as long as you can do that for 40+ miles you will be fine.

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Phil.

Just to say I had an excellent time on my first club ride on Saturday, and what a beautiful sunny day it was. Everyone made me feel very welcome ? thanks in particular to Phil and Amy for guiding me home? and Ajay for helping keep me upright when the bike decided to do a bit of rock-hopping!

I?ll definitely be back!
