Addiscombe at Hillingdon 25th May

Postby Phil S » Tue May 25, 2004 10:26 pm

There were six ACC boys at Hillingdon - big Rob in the E1,2,3 race and in the 4ths it was me, Toks, Bryan, Neal and Graham. Not sure how Rob did, but he looked strong.
Toks came 4th and I came 6th in our race, and us ACC boys worked well together. I believe Toks is now a 3rd cat - congratulations and hope to see you up there soon, mate!

Well done Toks, my mate Max said he saw you out and about near regents park and said you were going pretty well. Now you are racing with the big boyz you should come out and do some racing on the roads, much more fun than going around in circles at Hillingdon.

The more ACCers on the road the better.

Cheers

Marek...

p.s. Am planning on doing the 5 day stage race at the end of June so if anyone is thinking about doing it I would be pleased to have some company.

A barmy spring evening at Hillingdon...the 4th cat race had a real 'agreeable' flavour: Phil "Petaachi", Graham "Cooke"", Brian "Armstrong", Toks "Hencapie" and Neil "Decker" were all in attendence. There was a feild of approx 35 riders and thankfully - no crashes. The first few laps were fairly uneventful, but for over zealous juniors making constant attacks at the front. Most the ACC guys were riding strongly in front third of the pack. There was lots of head wind and most attacks were brought back eventually.
