Back to the thread....

The deed is done :) - I have completed my mammoth effort, covering 100 miles on the rollers in a mind numbingly boring 3:53:06 on a 95" gear. Unfortunately had to stop after 5 miles due to a rear wheel puncture, but fortunately had a spare - but had to swap the sprocket over - then carried on to the end.

I noted down a few details -

First 25 - 58:30
50 miles - 1:57:50 (2nd 25 59:20)
Third 25 - 58:20
Finish 3:53:06 - final 25 56:56 - egged on by a large crowd to cover the last 5 miles at around 30mph even though I felt like I was dying.

The lady from the fitness area was concerned fro my wellbeing following the imminent collapse at the end - I think she went looking for a de-fibrilator.

Perhaps I'd better start riding fixed for TT's

Many thanks for all your sponsorship - I have £220 on-line, collected £50 in my 'bucket' today and some more to come in, plus L&G will match the total. :D

Well done Paul; a good day at the office. :D

Note to anyone with L&G financial products; this is why they're not performing as well as you might like.
