Very, very sorry to hear that Marco

Think I met Eileen on a Sunday MTB ride about 2 years ago when you brought her along with a video camera to get some WoD footage -- seemed lovely but didn't have a chat as I think she was too busy laughing at (Cushtie's?) antics...

Hope you're OK - and let me know if there's anything i can do

Hi Marco, I don't normally put notes up at this time of the day, but I was really shocked to hear the news.

I met Eileen a few times when I was a new-ish member to ACC - I particularly remember chatting to her at one of the annual club dinners, and also a couple of years ago when ACC were promoting a Beastway race. She was a very cheerful girl and I was impressed at how much zest she had, especially in the light of the illness she had had to overcome.
She was gentle, and happy go lucky and it was a pleasure being with her.

I am really sorry to hear about Eileen's passing, and I understand how hard it must be for you Marco.

I send you my deepest condolences,

Maria

Marco.

Eileen was great, always around and happy with the friendliest of smiles.
I must admit I never knew she was ill so that just shows how she never let it show or get in the way.

All my condolences, hope you are doing ok.

Marco,

I don't really know what to say, I've only just read this as I haven't been on the forum for a while... tied up with my own little world I suppose but something like this always puts things firmly back into perspective.

As you know I met Eileen a few times at TTs dinners etc and although I didn't know her well I do know that she was always great company.

You have my deepest sympathy, I know the pain/turmoil won't go away quickly, but remember that she will be sorely missed and that it was better to have known her briefly than not at all.

H
PS I'm sorry if these sound like platitudes, they are not, but I'm not too good at writing about events like this.
